EPW - Berthoud a Paris, verge fusee, 43mm, 14K gold or greater (tested, exhibiting slow fade on stone of 18K solution, no fade of 14K solution) OF original case with beautiful engraving detail including a vase and basket to rear, white enamel dial, KWKS, verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and scrolled two-footed balance bridge, no visible s#. Comes with a 9.5-inch 14K gold (tested) chain as pictured with T-bar, small fob having a blue faceted stone, and a gold-filled replacement clasp. Gross weight of assembled watch 44.0 dwt (68.5 g). Gross weight of 14K gold chain with T-bar, fob, and gold-filled replacement clasp 9.0 dwt (14.1 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, good gilt tone, some typical fine to micro-fine scratches; dial with patched and retouched chipped areas surrounding the winding aperture; excellent hands; case shows very little wear, no dents or dings, excellent engraving detail; bow pivots freely; domed glass bull's-eye crystal with edge chipping at lower-right. Chain in excellent cosmetic condition showing light wear, clasp is a gold-filled replacement with some wear to brass.
